x

Conventional In Vitro Fertilization

It consists of the union of the ovum with a sperm in the in vitro laboratory, in order to obtain good quality embryos that can cause a pregnancy, this by transferring it to the endometrium.
To carry out this procedure it is necessary to hormonally stimulate the patient in a controlled way and obtain her ovules, later they are placed in a plate where an ovum and a drop of sperm are placed, after their fertilization they are allowed to develop for a few days and then transfer one or more embryos.

x

Scheduled intercourse

Technique where a follow-up is carried out on day 11 of the patient's cycle to verify that a dominant follicle has formed, which can be opened causing ovulation and later indicate the days to have sexual intercourse to look for the possibility of fertilization and implantation.

It is used in patients who have patent fallopian tubes, without uterine pathology and adequate sperm sample.

x

Artificial insemination

Procedure where fertilization is carried out inside the fallopian tube, that is, in its usual place. It consists of placing a semen sample, previously trained in the invitro laboratory, inside the woman's uterus in order to increase the mobility of the sperm and thus promote the fertilization of the ovum.

x

In Vitro Fertilization ICSI

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is a procedure in which after the ovum retrieval, they are placed under a microscope to be able to inject the sperm into the ovum, after which they are left in embryo cultivation to later transfer one or more embryos.

x

Spermatobioscopy

Study where an analysis of the spermastozoids is carried out, where the concentration (number of sperm per milliliter), morphology and mobility are measured. All these parameters are important because they are evaluated individually. It is important that this study is carried out in a Reproduction Center.

x

Preservation of Fertility

It refers to medical and / or surgical interventions aimed at protecting the fertility of patients and is used especially in women with cancer who are going to require treatment that can cause a failure of ovarian function. It is also used in patients who want to postpone their motherhood, for different reasons.

It is a procedure in which the ovaries are stimulated to produce a greater number of eggs in a cycle, and then extract and freeze them, this through a vitrification process, which allows the eggs to be frozen for a long time without damaging their structure or their function.

x

Gender selection

There are two ways to make a sex selection. 1. By selecting sperm, which are separated depending on whether they have a male or female genetic load. The spermatozoa of the desired sex load are taken and it is done by means of artificial insemination or In Vitro. 2. Through embryo biopsy, a process that allows us to verify that the embryos we have are of the desired sex, in addition to seeing that they do not have any syndrome or disease that may come from their development.
